Hill Landscaping LLC was founded in 2012 as a one-person maintenance based company. The company has since grown to a full-service landscape company with a unique brick and mortar, home improvement store. With the help of a hard-working crew, we have quickly developed the reputation of being the most respected and premier landscape company in the region. Our goal is to uphold our reputation and continue to keep good, personal relationships with our current clients as we continue to grow and make others happy with our work. Our vision is to be a staple in our community. We want to be the first thought when our local customers need anything garden/plant related and also serve as a weekend stop for anyone looking for that fun shoppe whether you are visiting or local to the area.
MEET THE TEAM
Daniel Hill - Owner/Operator
Daniel grew up in Logan, Ohio and currently lives just outside of town with his wife, Brigid, and their two daughters: Blake and Lennon. He has earned an associate degree in landscape management and a bachelor's degree from Ohio University. After seasonally working in the industry, Daniel quickly gained a passion for helping others and being outside. Daniel enjoys hanging out with friends and family, watching sports and listening to music in his free time. His favorite thing about the company is being able to positively affect the lives of the people who choose to work with and for Hill Landscaping and meeting new people who visit the store.
Connor Martin - Garden Market Manager
Connor grew up, and still lives, in downtown Logan, Ohio. Connor graduated from William V. Fisher Catholic in 2013 and Ohio University in 2018. He has been with Hill Landscaping & Garden Market since 2015 and has helped see projects through from start to finish. He now spends his time in and around the garden center where you’ll find him helping customers, fielding phone calls, loading mulch, or caring for the plant material in and around the shop. Connor loves spending time with his wife, Libby and their dog, Pip. Some of his favorite hobbies are golfing, playing guitar, attending concerts, and watching sports.
Ollie Hill - Property Maintenance Manager
Ollie grew up in Logan, Ohio and has been with Hill Landscaping & Garden Market since 2017. He currently lives in Logan with his dog, Silas, and is set to marry his high school sweetheart, Bailey, in May 2024. Ollie started with the company as a general laborer and has worked his way to one of our property managers and lead hands in the garden center -all while earning his bachelor’s from Ohio University. Ollie takes pride in his properties and projects and is always making sure expectations are met or exceeded on a regular basis. His favorite part of working in the industry is seeing the finished product and making customers happy. In his free time, Ollie enjoys disc golfing, fishing, and going to the movies.
Max Gavin - Project Manager
Max grew up in Lancaster, Ohio and has been with Hill Landscaping & Garden Market since 2020. He currently lives in Lancaster with his girlfriend, Bailey, and their two cats. Max is a lead project manager for us and is currently involved in planning, design, and seeing projects through from start to finish. His attention to detail separates his projects from others in our area. He enjoys both maintenance and installation of plantings and hardscape. His favorite part of the job is “being able to look at a finished project and take pride in it”. In his free time, Max can be found spending time with friends and family or at a Blue Jackets game.
